Long Island Expressway (I-495) east to Exit 56 (Route 111). Turn right at the first traffic light onto Route 111 south. Bear left onto Wheeler Road (County Road 17) south. Wheeler Road becomes Carleton Avenue. Travel south on Carleton Avenue for approximately 3 miles and turn left into the court complex entrance – Courthouse Drive. Take Courthouse Drive ½ mile to end, turn right, school is on the left.

Directions to Stony Brook Hillel/Snyder Hillel Center

From New York City:
Take the Grand Central Parkway through Queens.  This will turn into the Northern State Parkway in Nassau County.  Follow the Northern State until the parkway ends, which will be in Hauppauge.  After a few lights the road will split.  Bear to the left onto Route 347.  Follow Route 347 for several miles, and you will see the Smithhaven Mall on your right.  The fourth light after the mall is Nicolls Road, Route 97.  You will see signs that say Stony Brook and State University.  Turn left at Nicolls Road.  University entrances are at the second, third, and fourth traffic lights. 

To the Snyder Hillel Center (Stony Brook Union): Next to Stadium
Proceed to the third light, which is the University Main Entrance (and so marked).  Turn left into the campus and proceed to the stop sign at the guard booth.  Continue straight ahead, passing the dormitory buildings to the next stop sign, which is Stadium Road.  Turn left and follow the road as it curves around behind the dorms.  When it ends, turn to the Right and enter the parking lot behind the Stadium.  You will also be right behind the Union (it’s the building to your left, when facing the Stadium).  The Snyder Hillel Center is located in Suite 201 of the Interfaith Center, on the second floor.  (Upon entering the building, go up the short set of steps, turn immediately to your right and take the stairway to the 2^nd floor.  At top of stairs turn left and proceed down the hallway, past The Bridge Restaurant (tiled floor), pass 201, turn left go down the hallway (zig and zag) room 249 is marked interfaith chapel on your right.

Parking:  Use the metered lot directly behind the Union building.  If this lot is full, park wherever you can find a spot!  Hillel will take care of waiving any tickets, if necessary.
